I think interest in this set is growing. I certainly wouldn't want to get my hand caught between a HOF rookie card collector and a Crispette Bottomley.

The only time I want a "HOF rookie card collector" involved in bidding on a card that I have interest in is when I am the seller. That guy is ruthless.

To answer your question though, most Canadian issues have a more limited following. Thus even though they are usually scarce in availability, their prices typically aren't as high as their scarcity outside of the high-grade, slabbed versions of those cards.

Hal, would you like some sprinkles on that too?

Jay

I like to sit outside drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home I would be arrested, so I go to baseball games and fit right in.

That's a great website Eric! Given the scarcity of those cards, the Maple Crispettes are some of the most undervalued cards around. Recently though there seems to be a lot of renewed interest in the set.

Hello all,

Thanks for the compliments guys..I tried to do my best to share a little info about a set that I've been hounding for years. Maple's are a tough breed, and even tougher if you like those that don't have candy stains on them! I never could figure it either, until recently the interest in Maple's always seemed minimal in my opinion. I don't know if that was due to basic knowledge of the set, or just a lack of interest. Either way, it's a great issue to collect, and I've had an interesting time tracking down the 21 cards I own. If anyone can help me inch a little closer to the goal..or you just want to chat about Maple's..please drop me a line!

Eric
