Default Can anyone ID this boxer?

He looks familiar but I can't place him.

Would have fought around 1900-1905, possibly in Chicago.

Any help would be appreciated.

He does look familiar. Which is weird since to me he'd only be likely to be familiar from one of the slightly later sets like T218 or T220 and I didn't see much of anyone close looking at a bunch of them. (It's also a bit late for your timeline)

I'd thought knockout Brown, from T218, but that doesn't seem right and became confusing.

The card shows him as Valentine, but I can't find anything on him. There is stuff on a George Brown, but he looks quite different in the pictures I found online compared to the T218. Are they the same person? The guy from T218 supposedly started in 1908 while George started in 1910?

Anyway, is that one of those red white and blue belt/sash things he's wearing? Was that an early championship belt? (Cycling had a similar sash like thing for national champions) If it is, and if that's what he's got on that might be a good clue.

Ah, sorted that. Valentine Braunheim is the T218 guy. Looks a lot closer to the one in the picture, but still probably not him.

Doesn't look like Valentine K.O. Brown to me, but it's as good a guess as any. I'm still stumped so far.

I did stumble across pictures of Valentine Brown wearing a similar flag belt, but that was pretty common for the era.

Neil seems to have a darker complexion. Different ear lobes.
