I know that they all played minor league ball in the same state and all had the same last name. Am I on the right track?

All three were characters from The Flintstones and each had two wives with impossible waistlines.

All three have the same last name (Greer)

All three played in Texas (Big Spring, Fort Worth, Abilene)

I have to admit though, the "Stubby" threw me off, as the first person I thought of was Stubby Clapp! (and he also played in Texas - he went to Texas Tech)

Steve

Steve D is first to say "played in Texas" and "Greer" in his answer, but Tom in Post#2 actually nailed it in about 6 minutes after I posted. Because he didn't totally give away the correct answer, I asked him not to post the details to let it run a little longer. Bragging rights is the prize so Tom and Steve will have to split it.

3 people that Ed Norton thought wrote Swanee River and have never sent a sexy picture of themselves on a cell phone.
