It is truly a great card, showing face and action at the same time.Oh--that's the E92, not the Cracker Jack.

Judge, How do you know the Barry is a horizontal? He could be making a catch on the ivy at Wrigley.

Don't go there. I'm still traumatized by my first exam last year. Not sure the consequences of what "could" be are worse than that exam....later

Julie,

While it may not be considered "vintage" on this board, I agree that the Reese is a great looking card and would rank among my favorites as well.

Leon, unfortunately at once a month for 2 years, you really do get used to the exams. Still no fun but the big "C" is much worse! trust me, Dan.

the horizontal cha-cha with a 50 year old.

Here are two of my favorite t206 horizontals. I love McCormick's "Willie Mays" style catch, and Dunn diving for a line drive. Boy, these pre-war guys could really field!

I want to know what happened to the rest of the players in the Reese card.

I had the "Big C" and thank goodness I don't remember any of it. My doctor told me he was goin to start the prostate exams when I was 40, I just turned 40 and he has been doing it for about 5 years. Thanks Goodness he is a better doctor then mathmation.

managing one of Rickey's farm teams in Canada--at the time, I believe (early '53). Played sporadically in the majors from '34-45.

Can't tell you who's heading for first!

Oh--that's the Reese card.

I couldn't resist as this has long been one of my favorite baseball cards. I realize this is not "vintage" under this group's definition, but a lot of collectors would still call this vintage. Leon, please don't delete me.

Jay, I think the photographer got pissed at Hengle moving around so much while trying to take his picture that he just shot him and solved the movement problem.

E92 Bridwell and Seigle
E90-1 Hall
I also have the two Exhibits Horizontals Adam listed above Frisch and Johnson - both of those are nice poses. However, the black and white photos just aren't as nice to me as the early colorful backgrounds on the caramels.

that Hengle can't get up for the camera because he's completely wasted.

I have to go along with Scott E. on the E92 Seigle, it's definitely one of the nicest horizontal cards out there. One of my favorites is the 1909 T212-1 Obak Hogan.Just a nice simple head shot. All of the Zeenut horizontals are pretty cool as well.

Best,
Adam

Thought I'd share one more I like... doesn't depict a particular player but certainly vintage horizontal.

Leon, I was thinking the same thing about the J=K I posted that it would have looked funny "sidewards" on the box.

Scott F... LOL... does look like hes misplaced a contact doesn't it.

Does look like hes wielding a big stick on the way to first base but, if you look a little closer, you'll see the rope attached further up on the flag (foul?) pole...
