Default 1993 Sportkings Prototype

Back in 1993, Jerrold Andrews owned the rights to the SportKings brand and was planning to do a set of cards to be issued late that year. The endeavor was written up in SCD and I wrote to him at the time because I was collecting the original set and made some suggestions about his set and offered any help I could. In late July of 1993, I received an answer and a three card strip/prototype of what the new set was going to look like. I'm assuming it was more lucrative to sell off the name rights than it would have been to produce an independent set and this one never happened.

Anyway, here's the prototype for the never released and rarely seen set. I don't know what something like this is worth, so I'm starting at $50 but am more than willing to negotiate if someone has some pricing information. Contact me at rgncubs@att.net if your interested. The strip and letter will come to you in the original envelope postmarked July 27, 1993 from Dearborn, Michigan.
