Default 1872 TIcket Authenticity?

I put this in the ticket thread but took it out and put it here. I want to get some feedback as to if it is real or not? I have concerns. Not sure how Commiskey could have been involved when he was 13 yrs old? Maybe the stamp is newer?

Southside park didn't open until 1890. I suspect the 1872 is the ticket number not the year.

The first one opened in 1884.....but the 1872 could be the ticket number...
ps...by the looks of the ticket I am guessing 1880s to 1890s but hopefully someone will know the exact date.

Must be a number of some sort, definitely not a year. There was no American League as we know it in the 1800’s., in addition to the Park problems.

The voucher looks real and The American Leauge and southside park date it between 1901 and 1910. My guess is it is near the middle of that range. And yes the 1872 is the voucher number. Jmho

The White Sox did not exist until 1901. Comiskey brought his St Paul Saints team to Chicago and became the White Stockings in 1900 then American League in 1901. I agree this is most likely from the early 1900’s.

I have never seen this ticket before, but agree with Paul.
