Default Art at the Ballpark, Vancouver style

In case I haven't emailed you, vinyl copies of 18 of my spouse's baseball paintings are now hanging on the exterior walls of Nat Bailey Stadium in Vancouver. It's an unbelievable feeling to see them up, with opening game tomorrow night.

That's great, Max. They look great. I go by the Mariners Stadium regularly, and notice their various art banners hanging outside. I'm sure it's an honor for an artist to have her art displayed by the stadium.

Greg

These are some of the baseball paintings Jennifer has painted over the last 10 years. The new owner of the team is an art collector, as well as a baseball collector. He saw some of Jen's art and came up with the idea to blow up the images and hang them on the outside of the stadium

It's really overwhelming to us, and the publicity locally has been great. She obviously has all the talent in the relationship.

By vinyl I assume you mean a sort of heavy plastic cloth. I own a giant pliable plastic (vinyl?) sign/banner. What stands out is when I bought it the seller said that if it ever gets dirty take it to the back yard and hose it off. I believe that's my only memorabilia that can be hosed off.

Dan

Many of her baseball paintings have been done as commissions. Here's her one of her latest

and most of her paintings can be seen at http://tinyurl.com/3chojv

Thanks,

Max

With the stadium banners she can raise her rates.

She got skills.

NB. Black lettering above Matty's head is perfectly clear in painting. Looks sloppy strictly due to crummy photography work.
