Default Which Way to the "Seller's Forum"

where do the sellers gather to list all the jerko buyers ?

seems like a lot of 'buyers' here complaining about sellers and their items -
from PWCC retractions to fake psa cards, ebay conspiracy theories to fake signature videos, people being 'outed' for nonsense ...

but where do the sellers list problem buyers and blocked lists etc ?
where do we list those who mis-use return policy, steal items, complain and/or write rude messages, retract bids, etc --
I could use a 30 hour-per-week employee just to write to all the clowns with silly questions etc

what an industry...err I mean hobby.

Who would have thought "assclown7" would end being a problem?

I recognize one name on the list... and no, it isn't me.

But I also think that you shouldn't be doing business with someone named Assclown7. Just on principle alone.

assclown7 is the best ebay name ever. Shame to hear he wasn't a standup guy.

Hello, hope all is well...

I love adding names to my blocked buyers list...I just made up a Google Doc that has my list and the list from RealToppsAholic as well...

PLEASE, feel free to send me your blocked lists...I will get them in the list today...

Lets make this into a universal blocked buyers list...

Also, let me know if I should add each user name to each respective list...I was going to, but decided not to...I am open to suggestions on this matter and the overall list as well...

Google Drive is a great collaboration tool, and many features can be used to make collecting much easier and efficient...

I assumed they were EBay names...I could be mistaken though...Either way I put together a list for EBay names that is accessible to everyone, and I hope everyone will submit their EBay blocked names for the list...

At least we can still trust assclown6!

But in all seriousness ... I see a significant difference between what the OP is talking about as serious problems and what he is blocking.

Yes - I agree. A group effort to block people who abuse returns, steal, etc. would be great.

But to block everyone just because they ask numerous questions ... or even if they are discourteous ... that is a bit harsh.

I have bought from the OP many times and never had a problem ... but long before I had ever bought from him ... I had heard he was hard to deal with. I ignored that and had fine transactions. Perhaps he and 1 or 2 people I know just didn't get along for whatever reason. It happens. Doesn't mean either one should get an industry ban.

So I'd say ... if you're developing a industry ban list ... let's ban those that REALLY deserve it.

Of course it will never work, because these folks will learn they're banned and just bid under different names ... but it might save a few headaches for a few months.

Cheers,
Patrick

1. I do not have an issue deleting the list I created if you guys don't feel it is necessary...I have always wanted a universal EBay ban list...Saw this and said, perfect...

2. I mostly block ultra ridiculous low ballers...The ones who just get silly...And, I have compiled quite a few from the Blowout forum as well...They love throwing out names to block. hahah

Wow, that's a lot of people you have issues with. Maybe you should list the people you are happy with, as that may be a shorter list to maintain.

My Ebay blocked buyer list is growing almost every day. It is the world we live in.

That's why I like our Net54 B/S/T forum. Never a problem. It shows what kind of members/sellers that we have here. Credit given to Leon as well.

As far as assclown7, I could probably deal with that guy since I would know what I was getting myself into right up front.

Not sure if he is ON that list but he is OFF the forum, for now anyway. No one is going to act like the Assclown7 he blocked and run around the forum hollering and being a nuisance. I am too old to put up with that.

That's not entirely true. My blocked list is just as long. I ship quick and ship professionally. You would truly be surprised how many bad buyers are actually out there. Since Ebay tweaked their rules to give all the power to the buyers, it brought out the worst of the bunch it seems.

My list is much longer than the ones I see here.

Every buyer deserved to be on my list. If a buyer wants to join the list, all they need to do is the following:

1. Don't pay
2. Leave me a Neutral or Negative feedback
3. Retract a bid without rebidding
4. Send me a nasty eMail
5. Open a claim against me less than 3 days after card was shipped.

I wrote software that keeps track of every transaction that I ever did on eBay. That's 14 years worth of data. I know what I sold every card for plus who bought the card. I also keep track of why a buyer was blocked.

So, when a buyer sends me an eMail asking me why they are blocked, I simply look it up in my database and remind them why.

I've been on eBay since the late 90's, 99.9% as a buyer. I've noticed way more love in feedback in the last year or two, when I bid on something and try and pay for it within 24 hours.

Reading about the dealers here that are frustrated, given all the fees, headaches, etc. that eBay has added, I can empathize with you. Not all us buyers are bad though...

Well if you get a new dog, that would be a great name for him/her. I love the image of you walking down the street calling "Assclown, Assclown, here boy. C'mon Assclown."

Who needs a new dog when you have three boys; at least two of which I have already affectionately called Assclown!

That would be funny. I wanted to name our Pitbull Larry but my wife said no. It was more of a joke because of the Lily character on Modern Family. My wife instantly knew why I suggested Larry.

And btw - I bought a raw and very beat up t213-3 from Toppsaholic off eBay, based on his/her guaranty that I would get a full refund if PSA did not slab that card at least AA. PSA did not slab the card. I reached out to Toppsaholic and explained the situation, forwarded paperwork on the card, and resent our email exchange about the refund. Toppsaholic has been very gracious so far, agreeing to honor the guaranty. I sent the card back yesterday and I have been told I will get my refund one Toppsaholic receives the card. I will keep you all in the loop as to final resolution, but so far, the Toppsaholic I Have dealt with as a seller seems to have integrity and he has in no way acted like an Assclown so far on this transaction

Do what you will, but how do you know the criteria that toppsaholic used to make such a list? Some may have been isolated incidents. It's your choice to use his list, but I think you'd be leaving money on the table by blocking potential bidders to whom it may be just fine to sell.

I don't know the criteria, I am down to establish a criteria for the universal list though, and then people who participate, agree to stick to that criteria...I can have the criteria outlined right at the top of the document as well...

I found SGC more lenient with grading cards AUTHENTIC than PSA...as long as the card is indeed real.

Just an FYI that Toppsaholic refunded in full What I paid for the unslabbed t213-3 Evers, as he guaranteed, and was a good communicator the entire time. This, as a seller, my experience was Toppsaholic has integrity and is honest.

From what I have seen he isn't a bad guy. I think I have done a decent deal with him (not positive but think so) too. He just communicated a little too much on the board. No one is going to do that and not get asked to leave (suspended or banned). If he wants to come back in the future he might be allowed to. We can always use a little more drama.

Fair enough Leon. Honestly, I don't know the guy and this is the only deal I have ever done with him. And, I think he did tend to come hard and without class on the Board. I have no stake in Toppsaholic and don't care if he is banned or not; although things are definately quieter (a good thing IMO). I just figured I would let folks know that despite his net54 personality, in case people did deals with him in the future, the dude kept his word on a deal with me.

A little more drama?
We can do that! How about taking turns at stirring up "s....tuff" and in return being nearly unbannable* for a period of time? We could even have an old timers game or all star game of sorts and bring back past agitators for a week or two.

*There would of course have to be some limits otherwise it could get way out of control.

Kind of like when Jeopardy does a Tournament of Champions. With Bruce out of the competition, my money is on Adrian.
