Default Red vs. blue Presidential stamps on Harridge and Barnard balls

I am seeking any help from members who might know why some baseballs have red presidential stamps and others have blue stamps?

Default Calculated guess

A well thought out guess by myself could indicate possibly different years. Still within those years of league presidents, but one or 2 years before or after eachother.

Default Red vs. Blue

I think there are three possibilities:

(i) Different color stamps were used in different years.
(ii) Different color stamps were used at different manufacturing facilities during the same year.
(iii) Different color stamps were used at the same manufacturing facility during the same year. (This, for me, is the most likely reason. I have seen major, branded American manufacturing companies use inconsistent colors in their logos just because a plant manager is not thinking about it. In Spalding's case, this is just a stamp on the side of a ball, and it will be largely rubbed off after a few minutes of play. It might not have been given a second thought.)

For some reason they made red variations of American League presidential stamping several years. Each year had blue/navy, but the following had red as well: 1925, 1927, 1928, 1930, 1934.

That's great info, thanks for sharing it. Is that just what you've seen from auctions or is it officially on record somewhere such as a Spalding Guide or other publication?

Rawlings,

It's a chart which was compiled privately by researching team balls. It's not from guides, and isn't published anywhere to the best of my knowledge. An incredibly nerdy task admittedly, but over the years since its compilation the list remains accurate.
