Default OT - Post your Beatlemania

Pre-War Baseball will always be my second love. The first will always be the Beatles. My first dog was named Nowhere Dog. For our honeymoon my wife allowed us to go to Vegas, not her first choice, so we could catch the Love show (twice).

Tonight we have lower bowl fourth row seats stage left for Paul McCartney! It's the first time I have ever seen a former Beatle live. I have all around the world to see concerts and I have never been this stoked. So to celebrate my joy let's see some Beatles items.

And I know someone on here has the first state Butcher Album I have been searching for.

Cheers!

Should be in another place, shouldn't it? haha. Anyways, yes, you have a GREAT time. I have seen Paul twice and Ringo and his All starr band a few times, and its certainly a thrill indeed. Sir Paul still has it, and from one Beatles fan to another, Have a GREAT Time!!!

Steve- enjoy the show!

I was fortunate to see the Beatles twice- in 1964 and 1966, and I went to the Concert for Bangladesh in 1971. So I guess you can say I saw them two and a half times.

Here's my one and only George. Got two of these through the mail in 1990. Sold the other one for 2gs.

Enjoy the concert! I saw Paul back in 2003 and it's near the top of all the concerts I've seen. Obviously I'm a huge Beatles fan by my screen name and we even named our son Jude. I don't have any impressive memorabilia to share, but I'll enjoy looking at everyone's stuff

OK, ya twisted my arm.

Front and back of a British Beatles postcard:

Another set of autographs. Paul has written the inscription, but hasn't signed!?

John Lennon check (Thanks, Richard!):

Me, at Mendips, John's boyhood home:

The kind old lady who lives in Ringo's boyhood home:

Eleanor Rigby's grave at the church where John met Paul:

David- that was a great photo show, thank you. Especially Mendips.

Also wanted to add I knew John remembered the name Eleanor Rigby from a gravestone, but never connected it with the Woolton Church.

David,
What a great collection. One of these days I will attain a piece with all 4 of them signed together to go with my photos. Here are a couple
8x10's I own that never get old....

Harrison Type 1 PSA grade 10 for what it is worth. The sig is perfect though I must say so they got this one right It really couldn't be signed in a better spot.

Lennon 8x10 psa 9 with Jurgen vollmer's sig in upper left(beatle's photographer). These are also placed well IMO.

Default Fantastic Stuff David!

A pair of extremely rare Annie Leibovitz original TYPE I photographs that she took just hours before John Lennon was assassinated.

A month later they appeared in Rolling Stone's tribute issue in Jan. 1981.

Love all the Beatles stuff, looks like others have taken the same Liverpool tour I did a few years ago. What a great time that was.

Saw Paul in Detroit in '02 I think, he put on an outstanding show.

I should scan my Beatles cards someday.

Here are some photos of the Citi Field stadium in New York (home of the "Mets") as it appeared during last year's Paul McCartney concerts...

Default Two TYPE I photos taken by Howard Bingham...

Bingham also became an essential photographer for magazines as Life, Look, Time, Newsweek, Sports Illustrated People, Ebony and other international magazines. His work also is recognized by the several years he spent documenting significant people such as the Beatles and many other legends; and events, not to exclude moments in history surrounding the civil rights movement.

What is the best tour in England and Liverpool to see all these sites ? I'm sure there are a lot of different tours. Any opinions of which are the best and which to stay away from ? Thanks. I plan to go to England in the next 2 years.

PS - I hope none of those auto's were won in Coaches Corner Auctions !!!!

Default Original Apple Boutique, 1967 - items

Just found out that my wife's boss worked in the Beatles original Apple Boutique on Baker St. in London in 1967/68 and was employed when the store was closed and 'everything was given away'. She kept her original store uniforms/outfits, tags, etc.

I am hoping to get pics of them to post here.

Here's a link to the store's history - http://www.strawberrywalrus.com/applestore.html
