best way to remove a glued postcard from cardboard?

the piece came framed. i broke it apart. i removed the 2 photos and it seems to be some kind of glue used on the kodak paper, used exacto knife to lift up an edge and peeled right off (can see the remants above the pc). i'm unsure what to do with the PC? i don't want to damaged the pc with my inexperience. any help/guidance is much appreciated.

It would scare me to death. Hire someone to do it. There are a lot of variables here...the biggest one being what kind of glue or tape was used. Problem 2...how do you make sure the compound used on the glue does not attack the ink on the autograph...I could be wrong, but this does not seem to be a matter for the inexperienced. I would look for a qualified conservator type person.

i did not even think about this...i will ask the seller if he knows what kind of glue was used. thx

I think whoever matted that should have not exposed the entire postcard back, but should have instead cut a window big enough for the autograph plus a tiny bit more. The entire postcard back detracts, as well as that little sticker.

richard simon on the memorabilia side suggested hair dryer and it worked like a charm!
