Default Yet another major autograph ID error from a major auction house

http://sports.ha.com/itm/baseball/19...a/7120-81414.s

Honestly. Quality control across the board at many of these places is simply not up to par. Take a look at the autograph they purport to be Mordecai Brown. First of all it looks nothing like a Mordecai Brown signature. Secondly, it isn't "M Brown" but rather "W Brown" which means that it is Walter "Jumbo" Brown. Also from the signatures that they cannot discern I can see Tony Lazzeri, Herb Pennock, and notably Hank Johnson. His presence as well as Jumbo Brown makes this a 1932 Yankee partial ball.

Mordecai Brown? Really?

Listing states full PSA and JSA letters.
I certainly hope this is one of those situations where they are advertising that the the item will have certs, but haven't actually been examined yet. Even though I am critical of the TPAs quite often, it's hard for me to believe that neither of those companies would be able to recognize the other names on the ball.

I don't think it's quality control Tom, it's all about quanity control. The faster they can pump out a cert the more money there is. It's funny how guys on Net54 can point out mistakes from these companies and there own employees can't find them. What does that say about them.

There is another ball in the same auction that is multi signed with one of the signors being Clark Griffith. The ball is described as being a 1962 Old Timers game ball.

My math skills aren't what they used to be, but unless there was some sort of rift in the time/space continuum I am not entirely sure that that is possible.
