Default City of Cleveland finally starting restoration of League Park.

It's been talked about for years, and the neighborhood is terrible, but I'm glad this is finally taking shape. Plus, hopefully it will help clean up the neighborhood.

That's a great pc...There's just something about those quirky old style ballparks. There's nothing more beautiful.

I always love to compare photos of past ballparks to what the site looks like today. If you look at an arial photo of the area that used to be League Park, you'll find nothing like the post card above. Most of the houses are gone and the area looks very run down. All that stands is the ticket house and the brick wall next to it.

How far exactly is that area from downtown Cleveland (Indians stadium, Gund (?)arena, etc,...) ?

Maybe 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. Just a quick shot up St. Clair.
