Mike, you are correct! Yes, last hit off of Nolan Ryan- a Grand Slam, no less!
That was the last MLB record Nolan Ryan recorded, BTW. Most Grand Slams allowed in a career.

I was at that game. I remember thinking it was over for Nolan and feeling very sad. I'm a child of the 70s. Nolan slowly walking off the mound with his head down that night brought that period of my life to a close.

I had the same feeling at the time when I watched this game on TV.
However, in retrospect, I suppose it only makes sense that baseball's ultimate fastball pitcher (with 27 seasons under his belt) would end his career in flames, not unlike a supernova...
Wow, that's pretty philosophical for 6:30 AM in the morning.
