Default Question about 1936 Chicle cards

I havent dipped into this set before, and when I felt one in my hand the other day at a show, the paper felt almost as thin as regular paper. Is this correct for these cards, or should they feel more like the cardboard stock of general cards? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated, thank you!

If you're talking about National Chicle Fine Pens, yes, they are thin paper stock and not on cardboard,
