Default Sweet Cap Multi Strike? Ever seen one before?

Hey guys. I left the Philly show on Sunday and drove south of DC to look at a T card collection. The guy had over 200 T206, every card was a Sweet Cap. other than one Lenox and one Uzit. Included was this card. I have seen ghosts, transfers, color variations, etc.. but never a back like this. Has anyone ever seen a back like this? Would you call this a multi-strike, its way to pronounced and sharp to be bleed or transfer.

Thanks,
Chris

Default multi-strike

Hey Chris
Other guys will know more than I do about it but I would call it a multi-strike. Sort of like this one but with only one brand...(and no Cy Young ghost)

Whoa! Settle down boys, settle down. A few guys on this board have no need for Viagra at the present moment. Great card! It certainly reminded me of Leon's upside down printer scrap Cy Young.

Lovely Day...

Beautiful card!

I'd call that a multi strike. Clearly two complete solid impressions. The only ways I know of getting that are two trips through the press and double exposing the plate. And I've never seen a double exposed plate.

Nice card Chris!

I've never seen one with a back like that.

Curious, who were the players on the Lenox & Uzit backed cards? I'm asking because I'm sure a few other board members may want to know also.

Hey Jantz - Good to hear from you. The Uzit is Lake Throwing no glove. The card has paper loss on the front but the back is very nice with mild toning. The Lenox is Bender no trees. It is a beater with heavy creasing. See ya in Baltimore this summer.

Thanks for all the responses.

Chris, I've had a couple of these double-strike backs. In looking through old scans, I found 23 anomaly cards that I'll be posting on a new page on my website. I'll put the link in my signature when completed.
