Default How well you follow vintage cards on eBay (contest)

Posted By: Dave Seaborn

Well, today's a slow day so I was just taking a look at all the eBay data compiled for 2005. For single card sales graded (pre-1930 category) by one of the 'big 3', this represents a little over 21,000 transactions.

I thought some people might want to have a little fun with it (and if I'm wrong the thread can just die a peaceful death). So, let's see if anyone can get both of these questions right. To make it worth your while and to get at least a few guesses, I'll send a vintage baseball card to the first person who gets both questions correct (one guess per N54er). I'll give you guys a couple of days and then come back on with the two answers. Here are the questions:

1) Which graded vintage card sold for the highest amount on eBay in 2005?

2) Which graded vintage card had the most number of bids on eBay in 2005?

Good luck and hopefully we can have some fun with this! Dave

...are you talking about collectively? Like 360 Ty Cobb Red Portraits received 1,450 bids last year? Or one particular Cobb had 35 bids? Same questions for dollars.

Sorry, for each question I'm talking about an individual card sold one particular time.
