Default LOTG Auction Winnings

I am super excited about picking up one of the pair of signed CJ Hofmans that were sold last night. I picked up the 1915 example, which I paid a little more for because I liked the quality of the signature. Anyone here pick up his brother?

I picked up the Nadja Eddie Collins. Thought about going higher on the D303 Dots Miller, but I thought Pete might need it for his back run. And now I see that he already has one, so I should have gone for it!

Nice pick up on the CJ with autograph.
Collins is a very tough Nadja, congrats.
These fit in pretty good with what I am collecting nowadays, which is just about anything. Love the real photo's on them too...

Picked up the lot of printing plates and blocks. Not in my wheelhouse, just fascinated. Might lead me on a new path in collecting.

Dan, nice pickup on the Collins. If I didn't already have one, and wasn't already expecting to be over well over budget, I would have had a much higher max bid.

Thanks - I was surprised it didn't go higher. I've paid more for non-HOFers in similar condition.

I definitely was not expecting to win this at all, but managed to come away with the e107 Young. He'll find a good home with me though as condition-wise, he fits in really well with my other e107s...heh. I'm very happy to add it, though I will probably need to offer up some new cards on BST to make some financial room for it!

Nice shamrock dude-
I didn't see anything on my want list and had thought about bidding on it as well.
I was looking for a decently centered nice Cobbs- red or a frugal green one.
The image is still great, Nice addition

I picked up the 1914 CJ Auto. Can’t believe I got it cheaper than the 1915.

Thanks! And you’re right—I’ve only seen Marquard (of course!), Hooper, Wood, Strunk, Roush.... and now Hofman! Not more than 2 or 3 extant of any one of these examples.

The exciting (to me) thing about Hofman is that he is in the T206 set, and I do not believe a signed T206 of him exists (he died in 1956), so this may very well be the closest I’ll ever get to owning one!

Great work! I know it’s technically a rarer card, but I was after the 15 for the more developed signature, so you didn’t have me to bid against you!

This is an upgrade of the Mathewson I purchased earlier this year and is a condition match to my PSA-8 Walter Johnson which I also purchased earlier this year.

The PSA-7 Honus (blue) from the same set was too pricey for me.

I'll have my current Mathewson (SGC 70) for sale on Ebay starting later today as will a bunch of other graded vintage cards to help pay for this purchase...ebay ID is 'clydepepper'.

Nice pickup Craig. I was back and forth about bidding on it being from Pennsylvania. Looks like you might have some pretty cool stuff in there!

I got the large group of...um...risque Cuban cards similar to the Romeo y Julietta. They seem really cool. And nice to look at.

Yeah.

I bid way more than I originally intended to, but still came up short on a 1925-31 Exhibits 4 on 1 card with Vance/O'Doul
