Default Gold Borders

There hasn't been a good T205 thread in a while.

Please show any of those gold border beauties.

I'll start it off with these:

Bought this one from Ted Z. a few years ago:

Would love to see if anyone else has a yellow elephant compared to white:

Probably my nicest condition t205 (yes, all mine are raw!) and my favorite T205 front picture (Matty is a very very close second).

From day one in the vintage hobby until now I have always thought T205 as one of, if not the, very best looking sets.

Default Printing

Do we know how these were printed? Obviously a lot more went into them than the t206's, but I'm curious - were the sheets nothing but color images with yellow in-between, then gold flake printed in the yellow 'cracks' on a final pass?

Here is a page out of my large T205 "extras" album. Love the pink color on the Bates card.

A few tough ones I've shown before and an unusual Mordecai Brown/David Shean miscut that I haven't.

Default T205 Minor Leaguers

Gee....no Minor Leaguer's on display, yet ?

Here are 6 of the 12 in this set. In my opinion, the design of the Minor Leaguer cards is aesthetically more appealing than that of the Major Leaguer's in the T205 set.

The T80 Military Series are awesome examples of American Lithographic's Gold-Bordered artwork similar in design to the T205 Minor Leaguer cards.

I am not certain of the authenticity of this autograph on my Jimmy Collins card.
