Got this recently but hadn't scanned until just now, so that still counts for February, right?

Kenny, you must have picked up that Brouthers OJ in a private deal, I sure didn't see it. Let me know if you want to sell it.

Default Raw pickup at a show...

I probably overpaid, but at $40, not bad...it is a Hassan back so that has to count for something...I also picked up a Larry Doby Perez Steele post card (PSA)...my 85th signed Perez Steele...it was a great piece that I got at a fraction of what I normally see signed Doby PSs going for. All in all, a good day...

Well, you could have had my PSA 4 cheaper - sold Sunday on ebay for $39. Reminds me - I might have a "St. Valentine's Day Massacre" Sale this month.

Hey Scott...this is true...though your note presupposes I'm intelligent, which I routinely confirm I am not. Hoping we can do some business in the near future...would love to add some more T205s to my collection...Matt

Joe,

I picked up the Brouthers in the Goodwin auction. I'm glad you missed it. I didn't need any further competition.

Very nice, Mark, that's a much more interesting card than the '33 Goudey.

Erick, that's a beauty.

Another beautifully-registered T205 Matty arrived today. I was hoping it would be an upgrade, but not quite. Good trade bait, though

Oh, thats right, I did bid on the Brouthers and one other Detroit player, did not win either. The other was an upgrade, did not want to spend that much for upgrade.

Two new ones today. Got a steal on the 3rd different 1908 George E Wright Morgan Bulkeley PC. This one is un-used(another bonus). Also, after being significantly outbid on the 1903 Burr Mcintosh Iron Man McGinnity auction the other day, I managed to find another one really cheap(not really a card though)... It was a good day for deals..

Default Bill Carrigan - 1928 Type 1 Photo

He looks pretty serious, as he should - this photo was taken in June, 1928, dead-center in the middle of a 3-year managerial stretch in which he went 116-295, quite possibly the worst consecutive three years in MLB history.

Default For anyone interested in T206 printing and color

The proof piece Chris Browne posted will give you so much insight into the inks and colors used for production by American Lithograph to better understand colors and missing colors.

I'm starting to really dig baseball related postcards. I think I'm at a crossroad in my collecting life. Should I go see a doctor or something?

Yep, you're infected, Iggyman. I've gotten into boxing PCs over the last few years, similar virus, same prognosis. Overall, though, it is a relatively benign disease, primarily afflicting only the wallet and on rare occasions the marital relationship.
