Default Strangest places to buy baseball cards

Posted By: Clint

My dad just got back from a gun show and found this badge there. It makes the second time I've gotten something from a gun show. I picked this cabinet photo up a few years ago. What are some of the other strange places you've found baseball items?

Not me, but I know of a businessman who bought an expensive vintage Babe Ruth postcard
in a town market in Estonia. He was worried that it might be a forgery. I told him
that it would be the dimmest forger ever who tries to market his Babe Ruth cards in Estonia,
a country where there likely isn't a single Babe Ruth baseball card collector. There's a good
chance he was the only person in the market who had even heard of Ruth.

In case you are wondering why a Babe Ruth card was for sale in Estonia, it was a European
made promo for one of Ruth's silent movies and the vendor sold European movie postcards.
Estonians are fans of old movies just like everywhere else.

Here's a strange combination. I can't remember if I got anything there.
