Default Opinions on this T206 Rucker Throwing

My eyes are telling me this T206 Rucker is a reprint, but my heart keeps reminding me that T206 reprints are way too easy to spot and no way would a seller of this caliber sell an obvious reprint. Thus, my brain is confused. Can I get some "better" opinions...

The picture sort of sucks but I can't see any reason it could be deemed a reprint. Nothing sticks out besides the overly large bottom border, but then again it's not impossible. The colors appear right, the name font and colors seem right but then again it's very difficult to see. Any pictures of the reverse?

The font doesn't look right to me. Also, the corners look kind of funny - almost as if they've been clipped - doesn't look like normal wear.

Why not just call/email Hunt's and ask them to take a second look?

Borders are too wide; but, the most notable aspect that tells me it's a reprint are the perforated top and right edges.

I think he's talking about the card in the lot picture.

The card in the "lot" is essentially the same as the "perforated" card below it; however, it looks as though the top, bottom, and right side of it have been modified.

Mike, I could call Hunt and get confirmation, but this is much more fun. Plus, I'm convince it's a reprint.

Ted, sorry for the confusion with the pics. I should have worded my sample pic better.

Chad, I didn't ask for better scans. However, this is Hunt auctions we are talking about (I believe their auction motto is: "you get what you get, and you don't get upset."

Blitzu, I don't have a pic of the back side but the description states it's a Sovereign.

Mac (via private email), I'm not interested in the lot. It just caught my eye.

Here is the auction link: http://www.huntauctions.com/phone/im...6&lot_num=1312

By the way, I like Hunt as an auction house alot. They have always been one of my favorites. Thank you for all those that have responded so far.

Lovely Day...

Those corners are not that uncommon. I have a carolina bright with similar "chipped" corners. This card made me think of it. I guess the only things that looks a bit funny to me is it's black border turns brown on the one end. Then again, the image it horrible. I don't think anyone could call it an absolute fake until we see better images. Although, I also say not to waste a dime on it until better picutres of front and back are received.

My eyesight isn't what it used to be... The perforated sample reprint and the 'genuine' samples have a comma after the name, I see no comma on that card in the lot. It looks odd, but it may be real. Surely someone at the auction company would easily discern real cards from reprints...

It's being pulled. Dave Hunt confirmed its not authentic.

Great work team!
