1950s and 60s Sport Magazine photos

Ever since I first came across them in the early 70s, I've been intrigued by the fantastic color photos that appeared in Sport Magazine in the 1950s and 1960s. I never cared too much for the articles, but the pictures are, in my estimation, truly remarkable. I figured the only way to assemble a good collection of these images would be to cut up a hundred or so Sport Magazines, which I never had the heart to do. But recently, I came across on eBay a collection of photos previously removed from the magazines that Will Hays was offering. He guessed there were a couple hundred in the collection, but actually there were about twice that many. After spending days looking at these wonderful photos, I decided to start scanning them so others could enjoy them as well. That's actually pretty easy because all the players were stars ... from the left ... Pee Wee Reese, Carl Furillo, Jackie Robinson, Carl Erskine, Gil Hodges, Don Newcombe, Duke Snider and Roy Campanella ...
