Default The World Base Ball Medal Dieges & Clust

Picked this old medal up, not sure what I have here. It has the logo of The New York World newspaper company and is made by Dieges & Clust which would put it somewhere in the 20s or 30s?

Any identification help would be much appreciated

I would concur with you on era based on the construction of the ribbon and pin.
I own a 1938 pin with a very similar look to it. Yours looks to be a tad earlier.
Sorry I can't provide any more info to help.
Good luck finding your answers....

I have a few medals with very similar ribbons and pin closures and they are from the 1920s. I have seen many medals from newspapers that would sponsor the local baseball leagues and provide medals to the winners - presumably as promotion to increase circulation. Here are a couple, including a 1924 Dieges & Clust Baseball Medal from the Pittsburgh Press.

Here is a neat early, 1909, example of a medal from the World press for Bowling. Very ornate.
