Default Help Identifying Babe Ruth Statue

I need help identifying a Babe Ruth statue my brother has in his possession. He states the statue has no markings. He is an avid collector of sports memorabilia especially of the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. He has been told on many occasions his collection is the finest in the state of Pennsylvania.

Thank you for any replies.

I am not a statue collector but don't remember seeing one of those. Does it have any id markings on it?

ps...I see you said no markings, so no markings at all? If that is the case you would almost think it could be a part of something else?

These are out there... It's probably a paperweight or desk ornament. It isn't part of something else, as I have seen at least a dozen, all of which are identical to yours.

It's somewhat rare, but not a jaw-dropper in terms of value. Figure $100 - $150 for that piece. Yours would be on the high end of that range, since the bat is unbroken/in tact, and condition is nice.

Hope this helps

It was a pretty good assumption! It really does look like a "topper" or finial of some kind. But it's just a small statue.... perhaps one of those numerous 1948 releases, to commemorate the Babe upon his passing.

Just a guess (now it's me who's grasping)

This is from my collection, and the version I have seen most often. I believe these were made after the Babe's passing.
