Default hi need a little help scans added

I was a member a long time ago but I took a long break from collecting prewar cards because my dad passed away and I missed showing him the new old stuff I picked up. I liked to hear the stories my dad told me that his dad told him ( My grandpa was born in 1888). Well since I was gone from collecting vintage and prewar cards since 2012 and thumbing through some of the posts over the last 6 months I have a few questions I did not know about in this set

Sovereign cards how can I tell exactly which ones are Apple color?
Old Mill how do I tell if it is a brown back id the lettering in color brown or am I looking for something else. If Lettering I think I have 4 but not positive
I know I don't have any Ghosts at this time and looking through the threads I figured out what the Ghosts are.
I have a Fred Snodgrass red back ground and an orange background I was thinking the orange was a fake but the card stock and size are what they should be but it looks like the "S" is broken or tampered with so I am not including that in my collection.

Sovereign:
which ones do you think are apple color I added a few that were not for comparison
if you could give a row and card number that would help tremendously

Old Mill I added on black that I am sure of the other I am not sure of and any help would be appreciated
after scanning them I think maybe one of them is the brown but then again I am not entirely sure. The one I think is the last one where the OLD MILL is not in bold letters or is this another version?

Any help from the knowledgeable collectors will be greatly appreciated.

Is there any new news about the T-206 I should be looking for
I need 79 cards to finish the set excluding the big 8

Are the Old Mills the regular back or Southern Leaguers? If SL there is a one in a billion chance that you have 4 Brown Old Mills.

Sovereign 350s only are divided into forest and apple green. The apple is much lighter than the forest. A side by side comparison will make it clear. You can also compare with the 150 and 460 series, all of which are forest green.

If the orange Snodgrass is missing part of the S it could be a rare variation. Please post a scan and we can give our opinions. By the way, what back is on the "Nodgrass"?

As the background is orange, I'm assuming it's a Snodgrass batting pose. Orange backgrounds on red background cards are fairly common and is usually the result of sunlight exposure. The 'nodgrass' is a known T206 variation and is quite valuable, although without any scan, I can't confirm yours is altered to look that way.

Hi Wayne,

Here is a checklist of the sovereign 350's that have the apple green
back, Jim Rivera is a co-owner of T206 resource and he discovered this
variation. You will find a lot of helpful T206 info here.

scans of the cards you are asking about would help the t206 experts greatly.

Thank you I will check the ones I have in question may show a few scans that are questionable.

I will post a scan tonight after work I really think it is tampered but again I could be wrong and it is legit. The members here are very knowledgeable in the T 206s

Thank you for the link I will cross reference the ones I have to the link you gave me.

a little history on how I aquired the cards: I bought a huge collection back in 2003 and this collection had over 300 T206s i never thought i would own more than 1 and at that time i didn't even have one. It even came with American Caramel and some strip cards, came with complete sets like 1986 topps football, 1981 fleer, 1987 fleer glossy, 2000 paramount update several Hank aaron mickey mantle HOFers and super stars.

I took the prewar to my LCS who was very knowledgeable of the pre war era and said they were all authentic so I took 1 Chief Bender and had it graded. since then until 2012 I tried to buy at least 2 cards a month or more. Then my dad got sick that January and spent all extra cash going back and forth to visit him and died in that September right after his 2 sisters died one in July and the other in August. While contacting family I found out my moms brother died that April and while at the funeral on transit to the grave site my moms other brother died that day. There for a while I still collected but not heavily into it for I lost alot of passion and interest especially in the vintage and prewar era cards. I would buy a box here and there or trade some trying to get my life back to normal.

Well enough of that I am looking to see what new discoveries are made in this set and trying to get myself back up to speed for I want to finish this set as a cherished memory I had with my dad.

I can't think of a better reason to get back into the swing of things. It sounds like you have gotten past the negative emotions relating to pre-war cards and missing your dad...and you are ready to remember the good times the cards helped to bring between the two of you.

It is wonderful to hear and I certainly wish you all the best. There is a lot that has gone on and continues to with this set and the research being done by many on this board.

Now that we have communicated, it's not a question of when I will go but how. My death is imminent. Unfortunately, I probably won't even have time to get the paperwork together for my will.

Sorry Wayne:

The Snodgrass appears faded or possibly missing color, but the "S" is definitely present.

The Sovs are all forest green. An apple green would be much lighter.

The OM is black. There are two OM backs, the standard OM back (like the last one) and the OM Southern Leaguers. Only the SL backs can be brown, but I'm afraid that they're the regular black.
