Default Goodwin T206 Wagner

Guesses to what the hammer price will be on the Auth T206 Wagner in the current Goodwin auction?

My favorite line from the description: "True, three borders have been carefully removed"

But, at least it hasn't been restored.

It would look way better restored.

What's a white border without white borders?

My guess is $180K.

I had to do a double take when I first saw this card. This Wagner looks a lot like the Wagner the Roman Catholic nuns sold off about a couple years ago. Estimates for that card were between $150K-$200K, but it sold for just north of $250K (although even the winning bidder admitted he overpaid for the card because it was going towards the nuns' missionary work, church, etc.). Here's the nuns' card...

$225K--Restoration is a trend whose tide will not be turned. It'll be worth three times that or more, post-restoration, in less than 20 years.

Regards,

Larry

The highest bidder (a owner of a few sportcards stores) of that nuns Wagner didn't paid for it and end up picked up the tap.
