Default I want to see some W600s

Hello everyone. After searching for a while I was finally able to pick up a nice W600 for my birthday. The card arrived today and I couldn't be happier with it. I've always thought this set was cool because of the weird photos and weird players in the set. It has a post-mortem feel to it. I'd like to see some of yours if you don't mind sharing.

Default W600

Hi "Packs,"

Nice pickup. Your card has great eye appeal for the grade. Nice image of Donlin as well.

This is my only W600. It has some paper loss on the back, thus the reason for the low grade. I think it has a VG-EX front.

Lol. Shocker, huh?

Three variations of the uniform pose:

Second baseman of the Cleveland (A.L.) club

Infielder of the Cleveland (A.L.) club

Manager and infielder of the Cleveland (A.L.) club

Default Lajoie

Rob,

The W600 Lajoie in the upper right, does that have a "rose color" tint?

Yes. I think what you see in the scans is pretty accurate.

Great cards everyone, and a damn good investment over time, I believe, in each and every case! With the larger slabs offered by the TPG's, the former stigma against large black and whites will continue to dissipate (maybe that's why I've always liked Exhibits and postcard cards? That, and the fact that I much prefer photographic-type images).

Thanks for sharing!

Best wishes,

Larry

Are W600s rigid like a typical cabinet photo?

Here are two of my favorites. The Jennings is his only card as a player, aside from his Alpha.

Default Couple More

I used to own the Cy Young. I always liked this card because it is the same pose as the Just So Tobacco card. The Burkett was never mine, but I saved the scan because it is so rare.

Andy,

I don't think I've seen that exact Burkett before. If I'm right, that means there are at least 4 out there because I'm aware of three others. I know Scott B. posted his after he won it. And another board member paid a fortune for a near mint one. I learned of a third one that sold privately. This one looks like none of the above.

You gotta like the phone bidder who got 8 of them! if the auction rep on the other end hadn't gone blank on me I would have gotten one or two more.

I remember that auction, I had just started my HOF RC collection a few months earlier. If I had had the money to compete, I could have had quite the head start right there.
