Tell us more, how did you find/obtain it? Do you believe this card was distributed by normal means (pack of Cigs) or do you believe it was sent by SF Hess & Co. in the mail. Is the envelope dated from 1888. Great card, one of 2 St. Louis players in the set.

Best Regards,
Joe Gonsowski

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the kudos! Unfortunately, the two pieces did not come together (the two items came from completely different sellers); I only added the envelope as a companion piece. The envelope is dated 1899, way after the cards were issued, I’m not sure of what it's intended purpose was.

Thanks for the kind words! I've been putting together a low grade PSA set, now at about 17% complete...

But low grade no longer I guess!

OK. there it worked. Now to try the memorabilia side.

It has been awhile. The Schmidt is my first card since September. Saw Joe Jones had it on BST and couldn't resist. I actually hadn't bought anything since September, but have picked up these few items lately. Sorry if any are repeats - two I picked up in Sept.

Check out the shoes.

Again with the inappropriate shoes. What is it with these gals playing in heels?

Not much to look at, but for $15 the price was right. It's not a PC, it's slightly bigger. Anyone from Ky familiar with the city or name?

I met up with Rich Faber at a Portland Mall Show yesterday, we swapped a few old cards...here is a seldom seen type card, HOFer Frank Frisch R337 Eclipse Import.

Thanks Rich !

This is number 28 in the rebuilt collecction. Numbers 29 and 30 are on their way, and I think I'm getting #31 for Christmas from my wife.

Only my 3rd non-Reds player.
Thanks nbrazil.

You could be right Pete, either way fairly happy with the price...would take the other biggies in the set at that price all day long as well...
