Default Do you recognize this player?

Does anyone recognize the player on the left? He resembles Grover Cleveland Alexander (right) but that obviously can't be as he never pitched for the Athletics. The image is from 1908-1911. Thanks

I believe the player might be Whitey Witt. I could be wrong.

When I first saw the picture I immediately thought of a player I had seen in the T222 Fatima set. I thought it might be Lapp but looking through the pictures on the Old Cardboard site, it might be Bush.

Then again, maybe not.

It could be. He played for them beginning in 1916. I own two plate glass negatives one I know is the Phillie Earl Moore because his name is penciled on the original negative holder. This one is unlabeled and I have always wanted to know who it was.

The uniform style (1909-1912) pre-dates Witt by several years.

Here are other looks at Bullet Joe for comparison. The 1st photo is by Geo Grantham Bain, BTW.
