Default Grading - Would I do better?

Posted By: Charles E. Moore

I know you all are mosly interested in vintage cards, but a number of you also mention newer items. Did I do wrong by sending some 1950's to Beckett? Might SGC or PSA have "correctly" rated them a bit higher? Thanks

Default Grading - Would I do better?

PSA will grade this a 5 for the poor centering and SGC will grade it the same but have little respect for their grading of modern Vintage cards( post 1945 or so ),thus the card will not have a greater "slabbed" value by either company. In my humble opinion as leon qualifies his thoughts. If you are going to sell it on e-bay for example, either pop it out and sell it raw or send it to GAI then post it. That is what will work best for you. The centering kills modern Vintage cards.Play & collect safely and join us in the search for enough money to buy pre-1920 cards..............forever!
