Default Leland's Auction

Posted By: Adam J. Baxter

Hi all,

For anyone who hasn't checked out Leland's December auction lots, you should. There are some pretty cool lots up for bid this time around. The 19th century category has a few interesting pieces like the Anson meets Cleveland sign, couple of Peck & Snyder catalogs and a tintype with an African-American catcher. There are a few decent 19th century cards as well, such as a Kalamazoo Bats Stovey and a 16 card Old Judge lot. Lots of great stuff for anyone who still has some loot left after the Sloate and Lipset auctions. Worth checking out just for the pictures of some scarce stuff.

Regards,
Adam

I know! I've got a nice Walter Johnson signed mini-bat listed on the auction (plug-plug)!

There is some great cards in the non-descript 'baseball cards' category. There is a T206 Wagner and several others. I would have broke them up by year.

PS: Mastro will be auctioning off the Bartman Ball in December:

Speaking of the Wagner in this auction . . . this may be a dumb question, but why would PSA only grade a card as "authentic" and not assign a condition grade to it? If it's poor, it's poor, and they should say so. What's the point of just calling a card "authentic"? What am I missing here? Thanks.

The card has been trimmed so they won't give it a numeric grade. They will do this service for high profile cards and for select customers.
