Default Yankees-Cardinals Al Lang Field Sign

I am curious if anyone can tell me more about this. It measures 14" x 22" and clearly seems vintage in person.

Thanks in advance.

This is something that enjoys tremendous popularity every December 31. I can't even tell you how often I hear people singing something about about an Al Lang Sign.

I remember Al Lang Field in the late fifties and late sixties.

Questions however come to mind.

Did the Cardinals use the Yankee's visiting team dressing and vice versa or did the Yankees and the Cardinals share the same home team dressing room?

If the latter is true, I wonder who shared Mickey Mantle's locker?

Stan the Man?

Red Schoendienst?

All i know for sure is that Ken and Clete Boyer shared the same locker so they didn't have to change the sign when the team using the dressing room changed.

Now you know the rest of the story..................
