Default Real or Reprint

Can anyone give me an education on topps reprint cards ? What are the major differences ? Can you tell by looking at these photos if they are real. They measure 2 5/8 x 3 5/8. Thanks Jim

Tough to tell from the pictures, the backs look good but fronts look funny. They also look handcut. If I had to guess I would guess FAKE REPRINTS !!

I also agree w/ BobW--real but quite likely trimmed!

Default Real, but trimmed

I concur . . . they're original 1953s, but should measure 2-5/8" x 3-3/4".

Thanks guys for your opinions. I have to agree with all of you. I do not understand the reason for trimming these cards. They are all in really nice condition and all would have graded out extremely well. How much value have they lost by being trimmed ? Thanks Jim

value on trimmed 1950s topps cards varies.imo, for low value commons maybe 10% of vg book. but trimmed 1952 high #s or valuable high dollar cards such as a 52 mantle,53 mays etc could go significantly higher than that.
