You get to go back in time, or present, and have an autograph of 3 players on one of their cards...its not about monetary value, its about your favorite player signing your favorite card..my 3 would be..1) 34 Goudey Lajoie 2) 33 Goudey # 144 Ruth 3) 1914 CJ Joe Jackson

Early 1888 would be a fine time to meet up with the following 3 and present them with cards that have already been issued (Old Judges & Tomlinson cabinets). I'd hate to freak Bennett out by presenting him with a card showing him with Boston

1) Lady Baldwin
2) Charlie Bennett
3) Sam Thompson

Best Regards,
Joe Gonsowski

Joann - Somewhat off topic but after seeing Annie Oakley #1 for you, couldn't help but wonder if you had ever been to the Annie Oakley Museum in Greenville, OH. I think you would like it.

Now my list:

1st - Ruth Goudey #53
2nd - Jesse Haines Goudey # 73
3rd - Leo Durocher '34 Goudey #7

Sean,

That's amazing, I'm a little jealous though! Maybe a couple scans??

I always liked Leo the Lip when he was managing the Cubbies back in the day. He had so much passion for the game.

Haines is from a small town close to me so I have an interest in him.

Ruth, well.... he's Ruth!!!

I'm sure you enjoy those.

Thanks Sean!

What a collection!! Do you have your cards in a photobucket or something that could be viewed as a whole?

Heck, I was just excited to have a nice collection of the Goudeys, much less have them autographed. They look really nice.

in no particular order, and no, I don't have every card...
1) 1940 Play Ball Lee "Jeep" Handley - would have liked to meet my cousin during his playing days

2) T206 Nap Lajoie w/bat - for me, there's just something "legendary" about this card

3) 1951 Bowman Roy Campanella - I would have liked to have met the man

4) 1953 Topps Satchell Paige - same reason as listed above for Roy
5) T206 Jennings - and I would ask for an incription of his famous rallying shout

Sorry, I don't count to 3 so good!

Edited to say: Damnit, I just lost another attempt to add the Legendary card in #2 to the collection...I think I am getting the hang of this "Ebay thing"...-I just need to have more money than the other guy!
Th positive flip on this, of course, is that I just "found" $550 lying on the sidewalk!

Its tough to pick 3, but it would be neat to get Rube Waddell, Addie Joss and Christy Mathewson's autograph on those w600 cabinet cards. Actually, I would like most of the HOFers from the w600 autographed for that matter

Why would anyone want to destroy a Baltimore news Ruth or a T-210 Jackson when I don't think those are great looking cards and the Jackson certainly wouldn't be valued higher. Ie Jacksons auto would be so insanely valueable on any card why the T-210.

Mine would be

'33 Ruth
'CJ Jackson
T-206 Port Cobb.

Man there is something about a nice vintage card with a nice vintage auto.

James G

Looking for 1915 Cracker Jacks and 1909-11 American Caramel E90-1.

James --I think you misunderstood the rules --it clearly stated --"it is not about the monetary value" I would have Jackson sign the T210 because I would rather meet him in that year rather than later in his career-if it was about the money then it would not be my choice to have him or Ruth sign an early card. Just have fun thinking about meeting these players early in their careers and holding a T210 to have them sign--I think that was the intent of the original post.
