Default Any vintage bat experts out there?

I was referred to this site by some users at the blowout forums. I purchased this bat at a flea market a few weeks ago and I'm having the hardest time locating any information on it. The closest thing I could remotely find relating to a CB logo is Cooperstown Bat Company, which I don't believe this is. Any information on it would be greatly appreciated. The bat is 33" and weighs 35oz. Thanks!

Thanks. That kind of gives me a starting point. I couldn't even find that much. Hopefully someone else will recognize the brand and provide further info. Thanks again!

Any more information out there? I've been searching around for answers and still cannot locate anything about the maker, era, etc... of this bat. Can anyone out there recommend a group outside of this site that may be able to help further? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm a glove guy, not a bat guy, but CB is Cullum & Boren Sporting Goods. Here's a glove I used to have. Hope it helps.

That helps a great deal. Thank you! So apparently Cullum & Boren was a Texas sporting goods and gun company that opened around the turn of last century-- which I guess makes this a store brand/model bat. The other part of the mystery, the age of the bat, may never be known since this seems to be such an obscure item. Thank you for sharing your knowledge

Yep, definitely a store model bat but we will never know when it was produced unless we can match up that model number in a catalog as Cullum & Boren was around for 80 or so years. Fun to sleuth something huh. Good luck!

It's an interesting bat. It's not easy to tell from the photo, but the handle looks a little too slender to be a typical bat from the turn of the 20th century. 1920's?

Thanks! It will certainly be a time investment.

The store was opened around turn of the century. I figured the bat is probably 30s or 40s. But that's just a guess.
