Default No Ideas?

I have had a couple PMs, one member stating perhaps from a series of plaques that included a catcher/pitcher as well. Other figural collectors have no idea.. Any help would be appreciated.

I could be wrong. Judging by the detail in the face, I'd say it looks like Honus Wagner. Other than that, I have no idea what it is.

Cobb makes some sense, as he almost always seemingly had his collar up. You don't see to many pics of Wags with his up. Also, there's a slight separation on the grip as well, which was also typical of Cobb.

My question though is, if whoever made it took that much detail into consideration when molding this after Ty(if this is indeed the case), wouldn't he have also noticed that Cobb batted lefty? Unless whatever it was made for required the batter to be facing that direction.

Despite the fact that the grip and collar characteristics seem to point away from Wagner, I still think the face looks an awful lot like him.

That was funny to see that. I had to go back and look through tons of pictures to find it but I had that same type piece quite a while ago. It was on a plaque from 1922 and had 3 pins that pressed into the wood. I had thought for some reason it looked like Wagner too. Yours is the only other one I have seen. Here is a picture of what I had. I never was able to find out where Wastina was though. Mike

Thanks Lefty. The Wastina part helped a bit. I was able to find a website selling it as a Wagner trophy. That doesn't necessarily mean that it is Wags, but it is being sold that way. Maybe they know something that we don't, or maybe they're just guessing as well.
