I was fortunate enough to win the Net 54 contest twice and I was the one who added the scotch tape to the slab (pretty, huh?) because the label was coming off and falling to the side.

Well, The pit was a lot of fun yesterday, but I've got to admit that the boys from Baylor seem to be the class of the region. Wow are they a physically imposing bunch

With strong wins by KSU and ISU, the Big 12 looks like the real deal right now, and Denny, as for your Mizzou team? Anybody that beat that team from Baylor 3 times has a chance against anybody.

My bracket is doing well at 200. Is it too late to join the group?

Big 12? Texas, Mizzou, K-State are all gone and Iowa State will be gone in 3 hours after they play Kentucky. Kansas is overrated and Baylor is a train wreck, talented but in trouble.
The Pac-12 was horrible this year but the Big 12 was very overrated.

TBOB,

Arkansans just don't like the Big 12....it's in the water. I've never liked that conference.

I was never crazy about the Big 12 either. It was bad enough having the SWC break up, but then getting absorbed into the Big 12 added more insult. Looking forward to renewing the Arkansas-A&M rivalry over in the SEC.

I'm also looking forward to beating down A&M every year...just the way we used to and have the past three years in football

The Cuse seem to be pretty resilient... But at this point, any team left can Win it All!

Default Relax.......

I didn't join the group in time, but frankbmd 1, my only bracket, is currently at 930.

My other bracket contest will be more profitable, but I'll forever regret not winning a Net54 T shirt.

However, I had Syracuse going through to the final 2, so the most I can get in the next round is 160.

Congratulations to the real winner in advance, but I'll know if I beat you.

I have a good chance to have the Final 2, Kentucky and Kansas and Kentucky the winner, but not enough to win.

I'm sitting in the bunch tied at 19th - aka no chance.

However, my wife is leading in her work pool of like 100 people. She is in the 99.8% grouping on ESPN, something like 11,000th in the country out of 6.5 million entries, and nailed all 4 Final Four teams! Her biggest flaw - listening to me to take Missouri for a few rounds, changing her pick of Florida to Missouri for the rounds of 16 and 8. I can only imagine her overall rank if she didn't listen to me!

As a native Hoosier, I am in the rather awkward position of rooting for the Kentucky (gulp) Wildcats.

Looks like you win if OSU beats Kentucky in the finals or Louisville beats Kentucky, otherwise greatwake has a clear path. Then again if Louisville beats Kansas in the final game, there will be a huge mess

Looks like Greatwake, but I did pick Kentucky and Kansas, but no chance.

Not me, I needed OSU to beat Kansas, then for UK to beat OSU.... that would have gotten me in first. I'm in 5th if UK wins, I think.

As it now is, with a UK win Scott will get 1st place. In the unlikely event that the Jayhawks win, then James wins.

Yes! Congratulations Scott... Well Deserved! When Kansas came screaming back I was thinking that "It's Happening Again!"

Alan,

If you can get with Scott and get his address to Send Him the "Coveted Chase Trophy Card", I would greatly Appreciate it.

I did Have a thought of sending it to SGC to see if they would be Gracious enough to Put it in a Holder for us!? Completely uP to You! No Worries either way...

Scott,

If you'd like for me to see if that will work... Just LMK and I will give them a call and if so, I will send it in with my next order? (You can then tell Alan to send it to me!)
PLMK... if this is feasibly?

seablaster,

Please make your desired choice here, So VolnVegas can Know what he Won!

If both of you can then email me your address, I can get your Prize Off to You!
irishdenny@gmail.com

Second place: Choice of The Awesome PreWar Card Tray(Pictured) or "BASEBALL" a Film by Ken Burns (DVD Includes 10th inning)

Third place: Whatever is Left Over

If SGC will regrade the Trophy Card, then maybe they'd put "Net54 Trophy Card" on the slip for us... then we'd have something!!!

Thanks for setting everything up Denny. I'd like the Ken Burns Baseball DVD as I've never seen the entire thing. I completely forgot that there were prizes for the runner-ups.

My fortunate victory is an example of the old Hoosier saying “even a blind squirrel will find an acorn every once in a while.”

As champion, I shall endeavor to represent the Network 54 board with honor and dignity.

Thanks to those who set up the contest.

Honestly, I personally only had limited interest in this whole gig (my wife watched many of the games, me not so much) so if you are the winner Scott, shoot me a PM with your address and shirt size and I will send you a winners Net54baseball T shirt. I think there is a traveling card for the winner too....but someone else will have to help with those details. Congrats.....

I have a very good rapport with the guys at SGC and they might do this for us (and might not, not sure).....If there is a fee, and they will do it, I will pay the fee.....let me know if I can help in this endeavor. LL

At least I nosed in to the top 10. Thanks again to Denny for setting it up. I think the last 2 NCAA title games were the worst played championship games I have ever seen, although there was some brief excitement toward the end. I wish they would just let the "one and dones" go staright from high school to a developmental league or on to the NBA instead of requiring one year of college. Even the basketball analysts bemoaned the complete lack of fundamentals they saw this year and last.
Oh well....

Top 10, wow. I haven't watched college ball since UNLV's big run. Just goes to show the luck involved. Congrats to the winners!!

Couldn't agree more, TBob ......

Kansas did have 3 or 4 nice give and go lay-ups ("back doors" as we ol' Princeton fans call 'em).

But Kentucky, how many of those freshmen will be there for Senior night three years from now ???

Adolph Rupp and James Naismith are rolling over in their graves.

Enough bad mouthing ------ Thanks Denny

And at least someone named Scott won

I will send the trophy Chase card whever it needs to go next but it will have to wait until next week as I am away until then.

Thanks Alan, Sounds Grand... I'm putting together an Order, Good Timing!

Frank, Leon & All concerned, I just got off the phone with Bob Luce of SGC, He said it should be No Problem. He did say that he was going to run it by Scott, But didn't believe it to be a problem!? If I don't hear back from him, "It's a Go".

Alan said it'll be a Week before he can get me the card anyways.
