What could one expect to pay for a 1921 Sam Crawford Zeenut card in lower to mid grade? And how difficult to find is that card?

I don't know what they're worth, but if you've found one and decide to pass on it, please let me know. I've been looking for awhile. Thanks.

I'm looking for one myself Paul...the fact that you've been looking for a while doesn't bode well I guess for my chances of obtaining one.

Out of all the HOFers in the Zeenut series, his cards are the ones I've seen the least. Other then popularity, I can't explain any other reason why his cards seem so tough to find. The only 1921 card I've ever come across was about 2 years or so ago. I have never seen his 1920 card, nor can I remember the last time any Crawford Zeenut was on Ebay.

I've never seen a Crawford on ebay, and I've been looking. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a Crawford for sale anywhere.

Does anyone have a picutre of one they could share? I'd like to see what it looks like.

You will have about a dozen eager competitors from this board alone.

I know of at least one board member who has a 1920 Crawford and it took him a while to find it. Hopefully Mark MaCrae will chime in with some info.

I wonder how many people are going to be searching for that Crawford Zeenut on ebay after they read this thread?

Fred, that's probably the danger in asking some questions on the big board here huh? That card has got to be very tough though because I can't even find one in a google search...and while I am not very proficient at using the Net 54 Search, I couldn't find one here from past discussions either.

Ah well, everyone has to have a dream.

Dan,

True story... I was looking for a particular player in a set and this player doesn't show up too often. Well, someone answered my BST and sold me a card of that player. Needless to say, I was stoked. About a month later one showed up on ebay. I haven't seen one since. These things work really weird some times. It'll just show up and when it does you have to do what ever it takes to get the bugger.

Yeah, I understand. I made my 2007 wishlist and fulfilled it in the first week of January. An item I'd never seen and thought maybe to be just urban legend. Although Yale had claimed to have a copy in their archives they have the date wrong. Which is odd considering the date is clearly printed on the cover.

I've already got the 411 on the Crawford Zeenuts from Mark M and needless to say the Crawford just probably ain't going to show up.
