JIM,

It's refreshing to see a scan of an AMERICAN BEAUTY in which the creases and corners match up on the scans of the front and back. Nice CARD.

Wasn't there a very rare issue called Wellesley Sweaters or something to that effect? Would love to see one of those.

Not a card but a pretty neat photo, minus the chunk missing out of it (guess this one should also be entered in a "beaters" photo thread)............

Thanks Phil. I'm guessing 1912 but it can be as late as 1913. The Cubs stopped using the solid blue jerseys in 1913. Cheney only pitched 3 games in 1911, his first year. He had his breakout year in 1912 winning 26.

I'm not sure if this really qualifies as a sweater? Or a baseball related card for that matter? But it's the closest I will ever come to including it in a show-em thread. Thanks Leon!

By the way................WOW.............this sweater "thread" has obviously struck a nerve with the northern collectors. Only a few hours after posting, it's already on its second page and getting close to the 1000 hits mark!

Lovely Day...
