Default Favorite autograph

Not the best item in the collection, but my favorite autograph because I remember getting the ball at Forbes Field and getting it signed at the game:

I'm a bottom feeder collector. Not any high dollar stuff. My type 1 photo of Jackie's first world series steal is a favorite. But my all-time favorite piece I got a month ago. High sentimental value in honor of a man I highly esteem. Vin Scully's farewell fan letter. An incredible night!

Unless there is another, I believe I saw that fan at a Robert Morris Show years ago - it was INCREDIBLE then and just as INCREDIBLE today! Owner didn't want to sell it then....

There are two of them. The person who made the fans got two of them signed. I was able to pick up one about 25 years ago. The other was auctioned off after that.

Not much memorabilia but I get to see this every day when I sit down at my desk...The 1903 photo without frame is approximately 20 x 22....

Leon, that is awesome! I have long admired that piece and I am glad you did not sell it when you sold your collection

Great stuff, as always.

I have three items that it would be hard to choose between:
  • 2013 NFC Championship football (Seattle vs SF) that was used to score 16 of the 40 points. We were at the game, so will be tough to ever let this one go.
  • 1910-14 baseball bat used against semi-pro black teams. We were not at any of these games
  • 1890's French Brunswick billiard cue

I will add a photo of the billiard cue when my cue-maker completes the refurbish next Spring, if any billiard fans out there.

Yes, beautiful - but why does Honus refer to his team as the 'Puates'?!?!

This was a birthday present I received on my 30th, the person who gave it to me passed away several years ago, so it means a lot to me.

Default Honus Wagner

Beautiful penmanship on the Wagner!!! It's funny, pretty soon kids won't be able to print their name let alone write it out in cursive form.
