Default T210 Printing Oddities

Posted By: Zach Rice

Upon nearing the completion of the second T210 series, I have begun to look closer at the cards themselves and not just the players who grace their fronts. I’ve noticed that the printing on many of them is less than perfect.

Many of the examples which I consider printing oddities all share a common issue, the red ink from the card’s border extends into the image of the card. I’ve found this issue most commonly occurs on the bottom border of T210 cards (at least from a survey of my collection). I have also gathered that this issue is not solely a bottom border issue but can also be seen on the card’s top border and sometimes the side borders, though the issue is most noticeable usually on the bottom.

Recently, I also discovered that one of my T210s was miscut to the point that it retained the last name and team name of the card which was placed above my card on the original sheet. This is the first time I’ve seen this oddity (in the T210 set) much unlike the issue mentioned in the above paragraph.

The player whose name is on the top of Gatson’s card is Michel of Lynchburg. Oddly enough, Michel’s card resides in the same binder page as Gatson’s card.

I realize these oddities are not new finds but haven’t heard any discussion on them in the past. I thought this post would possibly generate some insight from other board members. I was also wondering if any other T210 collectors have similar examples, most importantly, an example of a card with another player’s name on the top of it.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Default T210 Printing Oddities

Looks to me that the T210 series was a simple 2 color print process. Think they manyfactured these cards as cheap as posible so not many of them hit the garbage can and passed as acceptable.

Either way they are great looking cards even if they are simple.
