Default 1959 Mickey Mantle, PSA 7. what's it worth?

Guys, need some advice from you card gurus. I'm thinking of bidding on a Mickey Mantle Topps #10, Graded PSA 7. Just wondering how far I should go up? 400 bucks? 500 ?

Thanks!
Joe

An average of the 40 or so PSA 7's that sold in the last 15 months is $775.

Well, I don't think it's going to happen, it's on its way out of my price range (500)

Ok, bought it for 625. That's one expensive piece of cardboard. I'm pretty sure I have lost my mind...

Default Well, welcome to the gang...

and sounds like you did pretty well for yourself, relatively speaking.
Enjoy!

I have some upcoming purchases in that range that I would love to make, but have to wait, so I know where you're coming from!

I thought I had done ok until I saw this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/1959-Topps-Micke...ht_1532wt_1003

Could have saved myself 75 bucks. Ouch. Oh well, I hope to hang on to this card for a long time.

that psa 7 is very off center and is not worth that amount. a psa7 (oc) is worth what a 5 is (if not less)as centering is a big issue with lots of people.

a qualifier knocks 2 grades off essentually.. $625 is a decent price

I've seen some other PSA 7's for 525 (buy it now price). But I'm collecting to keep, so if I overpaid by 25 or 50 bucks, I won't lose any sleep :-)

Thanks to everyone who replied and weighed in, it is appreciated.
