Default Wagner Bat on Ebay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honus-Wagner...vip=true&rt=nc

I've been collecting and keeping track of Wagner items for years and I found this auction to be fairly interesting. Even though the repro decal seems to be well done (albeit completely out of place on a bat as used as this) it seems as if the decal DECREASED the value of the bat. It's good size (33", 37+ oz.) contemporary to his playing career and a nice looking bat. Couldn't be that hard to remove the fake decal. Any thoughts?

Are you saying that you think this could be a genuine Wagner game used bat?

The whole bat market, maybe the whole memorabilia Market , is off. The middle of the road stuff isn't selling for what it should . Agreed a 40w hillerich & son is normally about $300 with no decal .. I personally don't mind the repro decal .. Makes it interesting .

No I wasn't. I guess you couldn't absolutely rule it out though, now that you mention it. But generally like Matt said, these usually go for 300-ish and I've seen them go for much higher than that.
