More Orcajo celebs:

Is this a postcard or a flip book? 1906 Winthrop Moving Picture Post Card of George Dixon vs. Chester Leon.

Default Chehalis Proteges

The Grays Harbor County corridor had a thriving timber industry 100 or so years ago, and was a hotbed for baseball. So much so, that the professional Washington State League existed from 1910 to 1912.

This real photo postcard of Pearl Murray has long been one of my favorites images/postcards.

For reference, Chehalis, WA is about equidistant to Seattle and Portland, OR. Also of interest, Fielder Jones was player manager of the 1910 Chehalis Gophers, only four years removed from his famous Chicago White Sox "hitless wonders".

A little vaudeville announcement from Mike Donlin and Mabel Hite that he sent to Portland's manager Walter McCredie.

Default Not baseball but...

... I thought you guys would get a kick out of this 1912 Frank Patrick (Hockey HOF) RPPC.

The story behind the postcard is that the PCHA Vancouver Millionaires team was being chastised by their fans for not putting out enough effort. After Frank Patrick took a beating in a game, he had his photo taken and a postcard image made to show the fans that the team was in fact willing to do whatever it took to win. He had over a dozen stitches and bandages when this photo was taken!

Default another PC

An oversized PC, but a PC nonetheless. Despite the large size, someone really wanted to know what was going on inside Scully's brain! All anyone has to do to find out what's going on up there is to listen to him talk...and you still can if you desire...crazy!

At any rate, who would have ever thought that there was once a Cal Abrams Fan Club?

1951 Dodgers Broadcaster's PC w/ Vin Scully and Red Barber:

That Usk, Washington Native American team PC is awesome! My brother lives near there in Conconully. To call Usk remote is an understatement, part of the Kalispell Reservation if I remember correctly. Great PC's everyone.

Cool. I recognize the background in the photo, mine came from the same seller.

Quebec City Ross Rifle company team. Just don't ask the Canadian Army what they thought of the rifle while fighting in the trenches in WWI

Default Negro League "action" postcards

Posed "action" shots of Negro Leaguers are particularly scarce. On the left is Andrew Williams in 1918. Charles O'Neill, also in the Negro Leagues during that era, is very likely the player on the right. More information on them, along with other Negro League ephemera, can be found on the website below. Also a thank you to the sellers and to the folks involved in helping to research these images.
