Default HoF PC Project (1930s/40s)

I am trying to acquire 1 card for each person in the Hall of Fame (if possible). I have broken down the members by era (Pre-War, Post War, Modern), and have different requirements for each era.

Pre War: Any playing days card.
Post War: Their last card.
Modern: Their rookie card.

I am not looking to complete this project in one post, but want to see what's available and buy a little here and a little there.

The following are a list of players/backs I currently need from the 1930/40s. I am looking for lower grade examples, with minimal to no paper loss, no writing/marks (stamps, especially date, might be ok), but creasing/wear is ok. I prefer the HoFers to be graded by SGC, but would consider other companies (raw is least preferred).

Tony Lazzeri (Diamond Stars or Goudey)
Ernie Lombardi (Diamond Stars)
Arky Vaughan ('33 Goudey or Play Ball)
Rick Ferrell ('33 Goudey or Diamond Stars)
Travis Jackson ('33 Goudey or Diamond Stars)
Chuck Klein ('33 Goudey)
Hack Wilson ('33 Goudey)
Freddie Lindstrom ('33 Goudey or DeLong)
Billy Herman ('33 Goudey)
Lefty Gomez (DeLong or '33 Goudey)
Chick Hafey (DeLong, Diamond Stars)
Jesse Haines (1922 American Caramel - E121, E120 or '33 Goudey)
Earle Combs ('33 Goudey)
Joe Medwick (Diamond Stars)
Goose Goslin (1922 American Caramel - E120, W573, '33 Goudey)
Kiki Cuyler ('33 Goudey, Diamond Stars)
Lloyd Waner ('33 Goudey, Diamond Stars)
Red Ruffing (Diamond Stars)
Heinie Manush ('33 Goudey, Diamond Stars)
Burleigh Grimes ('33 Goudey)
Red Faber ('33 Goudey)
Luke Appling (Diamond Stars)
Eppa Rixey (1916 M101-5, 1921 American Caramel, 1922 American Caramel, 1922 W575-1, '33 Goudey)
Sam Rice (1922 American Caramel, 1922 W575-1, '33 Goudey)
Edd Roush
Bill McKechnie (1940 Play Ball)
Hank Greenberg ('41 Play Ball)
Joe Cronin ('33 Goudey, '40 Play Ball, '41 Play Ball)
Dazzy Vance ('33 Goudey)
Ted Lyons ('33 Goudey, Diamond Stars)
Gabby Hartnett (1922 American Caramel, '33 Goudey)
Bill Terry (Diamond Stars, '33 Goudey)
Rabbit Maranville (DeLong, '33 Goudey, Diamond Stars)
Bill Dickey ('33 Goudey, Diamond Stars, '40 Play Ball, '41 Play Ball)
Al Simmons (DeLong, '33 Goudey, Diamond Stars)
Dizzy Dean ('33 Goudey)
Paul Waner ('33 Goudey, '40 Play Ball)
Mel Ott (Diamond Stars)
Jimmie Foxx ('33 Goudey, Diamond Stars, '40 Play Ball, '41 Play Ball)
Pie Traynor ('33 Goudey, Diamond Stars)
Herb Pennock ('33 Goudey)
Carl Hubbell ('33 Goudey, '33 Goudey Sports Kings, Diamond Stars, '40 Play Ball, '41 Play Ball)
Lefty Grove (DeLong, '33 Goudey, Diamond Stars)
Frankie Frisch ('33 Goudey, Diamond Stars)
Mickey Cochrane (DeLong, '33 Goudey, Diamond Stars)
Rogers Hornsby ('33 Goudey #188, Diamond Stars)

Thanks Jason! Currently sitting at 137 of the 317 HoFers. It's gonna take me a while to complete, but the journey is half the fun, right?

I especially like how you distinguished the card needed based on era. Will be something to see when you're done. Will you be displaying or will cards live in a box?

thank you. I think it's really going to look good and will tell a little story about the hobby and baseball in general. By the time I'm done or getting close to being done with the project, I hope to have the ability to display them. If it's later rather than sooner, I'll definitely be looking to display them.

Final comment. You may want to look at 1933 Goudey "Sport Kings" Carl Hubbell as well. Really beautiful card.
