No, I am not discerning different colors or very minor type/font idiosyncracies...there are a few of each. There is another completely different ad. And for the sake of newbies here is a response I gave to someone privately this morning about these. I think he was little timid about posting a question in fear of retaliation....This is ONLY my opinion on this pricing and stuff:

As far as I know it's the only complete (known) overprint set. My guess is there is another one, or some, different, that I don't have but I haven't seen any others yet...nor has anyone I know. So it is complete. JC Clarke has about 5-6 different and he is by far the closest to being complete, that I am aware of. I doubt anyone else has more than 2-3.....The Blomes is the most common by far....I have seen about 6-8 of them and they go for about 800-1200 when they come around....I have no idea what my whole set is worth but if i put them in an auction I would think 30k-50k would be about right.....because they are complete. I think an individual one (not Blomes) would be about 1500-2200 today...
best regards
leon

edited for spelling but I'm still no good at it...

I have a blue kleinow with the blomes overprint.
I've noticed that JC has the same combination.

I know how small the numbers are for these, but it still would be fun to eventually take a look at the front/back combinations that collectors have and see if there are any patterns.

The one that wasn't listed was the "Your Safe Have a Cuckoo" one....It has been fixed now....I would still appreciate knowing about any confirmed slogans not shown here....

Leon,

Do you have any type of packaging for the Blomes? Are they specifically tied to George Close. I think you do have boxes for some of the other Close products??

Something just makes me think Blomes is a separate issuer, they look nothing like the rest which all have a similar format and theme.

Just a thought, maybe that's why they are more common.

Scott,

Someone posted a blomes package and I don't think it was tied to Close at all which shows me that E94 should be an anonymous issue.

I think Blomes was a Baltimore company.

Now that you bring it up this Blomes bag is from Baltimore, Maryland, whereas all of the other E94 backstamps are from Cambridge, MA.....After looking at them and thinking through it I think there is a good possibility the Blomes could be a seperate issue. The Blomes back is different than the rest by far.....Very interesting...

Thanks for making me actually do something. I haven't wanted to scan these for my site but your question prodded me along. These grade ... SGC10 2, SGC20 2, SGC30 5, SGC40 1, SGC50 1...I have never shown the front corrolation before but suffice it to say the scan speaks for itself with regards to front colors......(this is sort of Koteles style collecting)...take care and happy holidays....
