A 49 Leaf Jackie Robinson rookie card recently sold for 336k. I would say the Leaf is out pricing all of Jackie's other cards.

Well in low grade I should say ..which still shows people are realizing this is his true rc...but it would be fun to see what a psa 9 bonds would go for these days ( not sure if there is a 9 btw)

I don't think there's any question the Leaf card is far more valuable, and THE premiere Jackie issue, I've really just wondered about the "why"

Just 36 hours ago, I didn't know I needed this for my Dots Miller collection because I didn't know it existed. Thanks to some negotiating and overnight shipping, it now resides in the collection.

It is his Rookie Card, at least one of two along with the 1949 Bowman. It is also a very visually appealing card with brilliant colors. I also think the confusion of when it was issued, which Beckett listing it as a 48-49 card, drew collectors to it over a 49 Bowman which some incorrectly believed was issued a year later. The Bond Bread card is a black and white card, which are not popular with collectors, a regional, not a rookie card, and was unknown to a large portion of the hobby when collectors started persuing rookie cards. The Leaf became very popular in the 80s and that popularity continues today.

Now that is unbelievable, that has to be a hobby first. GQs are tough to come by and to complete a full subset is incredible. Well done!

Thank you and thanks to the J=K lovers who also commented. As I said, I had no idea that this card was on my wantlist, but it also led to me learning more about the set and just how rare it is, so I have a nice appreciation for being able to pick up that particular card.

Two additional arrivals today for my pre-war Cubs collection. It’s not intentional, but I’ve noticed all of the additions so far are pitchers. This is only the 2nd Cracker Jack I’ve ever owned, and I believe this may be my first ever T-205. Love both sets.

Default Uncut strip R315

Uncut strip of R315 including Hack Wilson, Jim Bottomley, Mule Haas, Carl Reynolds and Andrew Reece. Some damage but overall nice presentation. It is B&W with white back, includes type A and 1 type B.

C-Mack, awesome e92 (and friends back run). I just picked these up last night unexpectedly from a Board member (could not pass up the chance to own the T216 and the Nadja), so I may be off on an E92 back run myself; updated to add the Crofts Blue I just picked up too. Happy Holidays!

Very cool, David. That is only about the 3rd horizontal R315 strip I have seen. I have one just like it on display in my office.

The only one graded, according to the Pop Report. Super happy to cross it off of the list.

A BIG "A-1 Great Guy" gold star goes to Ed Skelton for Hindu SL No. 26 ....

Ed either saw my other pick up post, or my needs list and contacted me out of the blue. It's one of the best part of the hobby to have others helping you out along your collecting journey ................

Scott, I saw your other pickup post. To be honest, I had forgotten I had any of these left until I saw your post. Glad to help, and Merry Christmas to everyone here, in case I can't post that day.

I'm not usually a fan of T202s but I really dig the colors and sharp corners; primarily I got it for the player combination.
