Default 1904 New York Giants Postcard on Ebay

This guy is either smoking something illegal or he's just flat out a conman.

He also has another postcard up which he claims has Cap Anson, Clark Griffith and Bill Dahlen.

By the way it can't be 1904. It has a divided back as authorized in 1907.

heh Matty in disguise. His subtle tongue in cheek description will be lost on some poor soul. God, I love the Net.

Hmmm. I thought it was the Giants too. The Giants of Industry? Well maybe he got his leagues wrong. It's the League of Extrodinary Gentleman.

In Rememberance of James W. Brennan Sr. 1924-1982. Dad, thanks for everything you did for me.

There isn't one player he identified who looks anything like who he is supposed to be. And what are all these guys from different eras doing in this postcard? This is a con job. And you can tell by the robust bid he has that he hasn't conned anybody yet.

This is a European photo postcard -- they didn't have stamp boxes over there (on the Continent -- they did in England), and but they did have these kinds of address lines. There's probably a more elegant way to put it, but this is what the back of a European card looks like.

The pre-1907/undivided back argument isn't applicable to European cards, but the fact that it's European makes it, umm, dubious that the men in the photo had even heard of the New York Giants.
