Default n43s

Posted By: Pete Z.

There's a group of n43s at a card shop and all have scrapbook removal damage to the backs. Several of them are stamped Metropolitan Museum New York, which I take to mean the Metropolitan Museum of Art, duplicate, with initials. I'm figuring this was in the Burdick collection and released at some time because it was a duplicate. Does this make sense or does anybody have any other thoughts?

Thanks,
Pete

Two questions come to mind right away: how much of a premium is the owner asking for the inferred pedigree, and how did the cards come into his possession?
